How I care for my clothes (+ a giveaway!)
Some people just love laundry. I would love to confess to always being one of those people but it wasn't until I moved to Mallorca that I really enjoyed doing the washing. Maybe it's hanging it in the sunshine or just the fact that there is slightly less of it now the teenagers are at University.
But either way, I have found myself looking forward to the basket being full. And with that comes discovering amazing products. And ones that are plastic free, vegan, infinitely recyclable and palm oil free are ticking more boxes than I can fill with dirty washing!
I pride myself on taking really good care of my clothes. I pack my cashmere away at the end of the Winter, I have been using moth repellent solutions for as long as I can remember, I de-bobble bobbly jumpers and I hand sew any small holes that may appear and I love a good pair of scissors. That must be the textile geek in me.
So let’s talk about Clothes Doctor and all the incredible products they have. One for tough stains (called Tough Love), an eco wash for cashmere and wool (I love this as it saves on a dry cleaning bill), one specifically for sportswear and one for delicates and silk. Each one has it’s own beautiful scent containing natural fragrances and they pride themselves on everything being made in Britain.
You will have to take my word for it when I say the smell of each detergent transports you somewhere beautiful and heavenly fragrant. The Basil and Mandarin has to be my favourite. My laundry never smelt so good. And to know I am not damaging the planet in any way is a mission I am happy to shout about.
Which is why I am so delighted to share this giveaway from Clothes Doctor with you. Originally started to bring back the tradition of caring for the clothes we love, and making them last for as long as possible. Their mission is to increase the longevity of your clothes and not throw them away just because you tire of them or they don’t look how they did when you bought them. Usually from not washing them correctly. Clothes Doctor is dedicated to cleaning, protecting and repairing clothes the old fashioned way in order to extend their life and waste less. I am sure you will agree, in the current climate, this is something we all need to be on board with.
